The Best Baseball Nets from Batting Cages Inc.

Discover the Quality and Workmanship!

Most baseball nets are constructed out of either nylon or polyethylene netting. At Batting Cages Inc. we believe these materials are inferior to Kevloy tm– the material we use in all our baseball nets for batting cages.

Traditionally, baseball nets were made from knotted and knotless nylon netting. Nylon netting can absorb water, so many manufacturers treat the nylon with some sort of bonding agent. Treating nylon with a bonding agent will reduce nylon's tendency to soak up water, but it doesn't stop it entirely. Eventually nylon can shrink, and rot.

Polyethylene netting is gaining in popularity for use in baseball nets, mainly because it is inexpensive. Polyethylene netting has drawbacks as well. It won't absorb water, but many types of polyethylene simply don't hold up well to direct sunlight. This works well for indoor applications, but it may not be practical over the long haul for outdoor use, especially in warmer climates.

When it comes to the baseball nets used in batting cages, we use Kevloy tm premium netting. Kevloy tm is a commercial polymer that is also used in bullet proof vests. This material is strong, lightweight, does not absorb water, and will not breakdown in direct sunlight. Nylon works well also, but most batting cages are left outdoors so they are always exposed to the elements. Baseball nets made from Kevloy tm take the elements best.

The Best Baseball Nets from SportsNetting.comNext to the netting material used in baseball nets, the sewing is the most important factor determining how your baseball net will wear. If your cage is assembled with light thread, or the stitching is loose, even the best panels can come apart. Our batting cages are assembled on state-of-the-art computer controlled sewing machines. These machines tightly weave a thick cord around the rope perimeters in a positive locking pattern that provides the strongest possible bind between the baseball nets and the rope.

Finally, we sew an extra rib line that runs down the middle of the top panel from front to back. This provides an extra support point so you can keep the baseball net held high without putting undue stress on the perimeter.

Our craftsmen have been building commercial batting cages for over 25 years. We take pride in building our batting cages of the highest quality baseball nets at an affordable price.

Find out why professional players and clubs trust our baseball nets and batting cages for their long durability
under stringent use conditions.
