Our own design

This backstop design is based on one we designed for a local school. It is great for use in little leagues or backyards. The dimensions are 15′ wide, 10' high, and 10' deep, allowing you to place a home plate at the center and not have to move it for right/left-handed batters. Although economical, the construction of this backstop is comparable to much more expensive models and breaks down for easy storage in the off-season. The framework features 1-5/8″ powder-coated steel tubing and welded corner fittings, and a wheel kit for easy transport on the field. The netting is our knotless #36 HDPE.

Portable Backstop

Overall, I’m pleased with this backstop for the field I have cut for my grandkids. It will keep foulballs from hitting people on the deck and our house windows. We got no instructions in the original shipment but were sent instructions promptly when requested. We also got 1 more male pole than we needed and 1 less female pole than needed. But, we made it work.

A fantastic alternative

This is a perfect alternative to buying a full turtle. Our program did not have the money to get a turtle, but we needed something and this was suggested to me. This is a great product (other than the design of the wheels). We are able to use it the same as a traditional turtle and move it with 3 people fairly easy.

I have seen in other reviews that people had trouble getting this together. If you lay out the pieces and have 2 to 3 people helping it takes some common sense and about an hour!

Overall, this product exceeds expectations!

BCI Portable Backstop

The backstop was delivered and packaged well. The instructions were not included but after an easy phone call to BCI they emailed the instructions within a matter of minutes. Installation was fairly easy with 2 people. The backstop seems to be made well and for the price point it's hard to beat. It does exactly what we need it to do and has made batting practices more efficient and now we don't have to chase or lose balls in the woods behind our field. Very satisfied with this purchase and look forward to doing more business with them in the future.

Just set up the product. Seems like good quality. Will say, the instructions are terrible. We were given a list of parts and one picture that showed the turtle set up part way. In addition, some of the pipes didn't fit together, we had to use 2x4s to bang the pipes together. Also, the bolts that come with it are different sizes, not sure why. Took 6 guys about 2.5 hours to set up because of these issues. Will say, we are very happy with the final result, after getting through the initial setup.
