Yes. Nets without UV protection break down much faster in direct sunlight. Over time, the fibers dry out, weaken, and tear. UV-resistant netting helps prevent that. It is treated to block sun damage and last longer in outdoor environments. 

KVX200™ offers the highest UV protection and is built for constant outdoor exposure. Standard HDPE also resists UV naturally and performs well in most backyards. For outdoor use, nylon batting cage nets should always be UV-treated to avoid stretching or fading.

• HDPE batting cage nets are a popular outdoor option. This netting is lightweight, resists water, and handles seasonal use well. It also tends to be very affordable, which is great for those creating home practice areas.
• KVX200™ netting is a stronger version of HDPE that is UV-treated and made for heavy use. It lasts longer outdoors and offers better protection against abrasion and sunlight. It is the best choice for year-round outdoor cages.
• Nylon batting cage nets are the most durable material overall. This netting is best for indoor use or outdoor use when treated with UV protection.

Regular HDPE batting cage netting also offers UV resistance. It does well in backyard or seasonal use. Nylon batting cage netting can last outdoors if UV-treated and kept dry, but it is less ideal. Always choose a net with strong UV protection.
