ABOUT CAL

Cal Raleigh’s baseball journey began long before bright stadium lights and packed crowds. Growing up in North Carolina, baseball was part of everyday life, influenced heavily by his father, who coached at the collegiate level. From an early age, Cal showed a rare blend of power, work ethic, and leadership behind the plate. He starred at North Davidson High School before taking his talents to Florida State University, where he continued to develop into a standout catcher known for his durability, switch-hitting power, and strong defensive presence.

After being drafted by the Seattle Mariners in 2018, Raleigh steadily worked his way through the minor leagues, earning a reputation as a grinder who embraced the physical and mental demands of catching. His Major League debut marked the beginning of a new chapter, but it was his clutch performances that quickly made him a fan favorite. Known to many fans by the nickname “Big Dumper,” Raleigh has delivered memorable home runs, including historic, game-changing moments that helped define the Mariners’ resurgence and postseason push. His ability to handle pitchers, control the game, and come through in pressure situations has made him an anchor of the team.

Today, Cal Raleigh stands as one of the most respected catchers in the game, admired for both his power at the plate and his leadership on the field. At Batting Cages Inc., we’re proud to partner with Cal and recently collaborate with him on a photo and video shoot that celebrates his journey and passion for the game. His story reflects the values we believe in commitment, preparation, and love for baseball and continues to inspire players and fans alike as his career keeps reaching new heights.

I've trained and played everywhere, and no other cage or net holds up to the quality of batting cages inc, which is why I use them in my at-home facility. They are a family-owned company with over 30 years of experience, and are the largest batting cage supplier in the world.
